WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – JUNE. 12, 2020 – GoNetspeed, a high-speed fiber optic internet provider, today announced that service is now available in Newington. This expansion follows GoNetspeed’s completed build in Elmwood and further expansion in West Hartford. Earlier this year, GoNetspeed announced that in 2020 it will expand to over 30,000 homes in the West Hartford area and they plan to exceed that goal. With the recent completion of their build in Newington, the company currently offers its highspeed internet service to over 25,000 homes in the West Hartford area. Over the next six months, GoNetspeed will be building to an additional 20,000 homes across Newington, Wethersfield, West Hartford and the newly announced market of Southington. Over the last few weeks, GoNetspeed launched a social campaign asking residents in Southington and East Hartford to help them decide which of the two areas they would expand to. GoNetspeed officially announced today that Southington has gained the most interest and therefore will be an area that they will expand to this fall.
“We have been overwhelmed by the amount of interest for our high speed internet service and outpouring of positive feedback we have seen from our customers,” said Tom Perrone, Chief Operating Officer of GoNetspeed. “We are building as fast as we can to reach homes who have shown interest in our service. If you don’t see your area on the map, tell your friends, family and neighbors to submit their interest at www.gonetspeed.com
. We look at these submissions to help us decide where to build next.”
GoNetspeed’s fiber internet offerings, with a starting bandwidth offering of 150 Mbps for a flat rate of $50 per month, give residents the perfect platform for all of their streaming, downloading, surfing and gaming needs. Cutting the cord and ditching the cable provider is now within reach with so many streaming options available that allow residents to watch live TV, such as YouTube TV. GoNetspeed states that if residents cancel their cable and get GoNetspeed’s Standard plan ($50 a month flat) and
subscribe to YouTube TV ($49.99 a month) to watch their shows and sports, they can save $1,200 a year.*
What differentiates GoNetspeed from other providers is the ability to offer customers unparalleled customer service along with unmatched speed and performance at an affordable rate. Customers have direct access to 100 percent fiber connectivity, without any extra fees or taxes, and with no contract required. GoNetspeed also provides a Flat Rates Forever
pledge that guarantees the customer pays the same price for their Internet speeds for the entire time they remain a customer within a GoNetspeed service territory.
Today, the company can serve more than 50,000 homes and small businesses throughout their network in West Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport and Beaver County, Pennsylvania. GoNetspeed will continue to expand into new neighborhoods and areas throughout Connecticut based on demand, noting areas need at least 15% interest for consideration.
